I started The Cleaner Soul after a shock breast cancer diagnosis. I was a health conscious personal trainer and a positive lifestyle advocate and never thought this would happen to me. I knew internally I was eating well and keeping healthy so I started to reevaluate what products I was surrounding myself with that could disrupt my health. Perfumes were the first products I eliminated when I realized how toxic the synthetic fragrances are.

This made me look into the fragrances in other products, especially my household cleaners. I was horrified to learn how we, the consumers, are being deceived and duped into trusting that these cleaning products are safeguarding our families and homes, when in fact by using these harmful and toxic-laden chemical products, we are creating a horrific environment in our homes, and subjecting our families to serious, long-term health risks. I could no longer trust any of these products; even the ones labelled safe and natural were misleading.

So I started making my own in my kitchen with food-grade ingredients only. After I finalized a formula I liked, I called upon a formulator friend to tweak the ingredients to the point that they were more effective and proven to clean well with the correct PH, making them skin-contact safe, food-contact safe, and baby and pet safe. I also wanted to add essential oils so whilst you clean you get the healing benefits from the aromas of the oils. It was important for me to create one cleaning solution that you can use safely and effectively in every room, on every surface.

You just pick the aroma to match or improve your mood. What sets my products apart is that they are 100% non-toxic and in eco-friendly refillable glass bottles (never plastic). We use only the highest quality ingredients rated # 1 on EWG, and we use organic essential oils for therapeutic aromatherapy.

Sheer Miracle was born in the founder’s kitchen in 2004 after a lifetime of searching for makeup and skincare that didn’t irritate her ULTRA-sensitive skin. She’d had it with irritation and breakouts and knew there must be a better way. So she started experimenting with minimalist DIY beauty recipes at home. After many hours in “the lab” (and lots of trial and error), she ended up with simple recipes – without all the harsh chemicals and preservatives – that was effective and got results.  Friends and family started using her formulas and loved them. Then friends of friends started asking for them – and Sheer Miracle was born.

The founding family started whipping up batches of magnesium oil in their kitchen back in 2008 when John (their co-owner) was training for the USA Olympic Swimming Trials. Topical magnesium helped him so much with muscle recovery and sleep, that they started sharing it with their family and friends. That’s when they started to understand just how big of an impact getting enough magnesium can have on health… everyone was hooked. Before they knew it, they outgrew their kitchen to meet demand.

Fast forward a few years… they’re still family-owned and operated, now running a state of the art facility in Houston, Texas.  Magnum Solace now offers a full line of natural, premium self-care products from lotions to body oils.  Qualify control has, and always will remain a focus point for their company.

Her passion began at a very young age with being mindful of what we put in and on our bodies. making natural vegan products for over 25 years prior to purchasing Fire lake Soapery.. Laura, had been in the health care field for 35 years before retiring and purchasing Fire lake Soapery. Laura  has enjoyed making products that have helped people who choose to support a healthier toxin free lifestyle,

Now, her focus includes making artisan soap in small batches with the highest quality ingredients free of toxins and harsh chemicals- all of which contain nourishment for the skin. With Laura’s passion, creativity, and attention to detail, it was important that she pass on this passion of helping people feel better in their own skin

The couple spent two wonderful years living in Panama. Living within an hour of Pacific and Caribbean ocean opened their eyes to the scope of the global plastic problem. Even when they visited remote, uninhabited islands, they found beaches covered with plastics big and small. 

While there, a fight with cancer made them consider what they put in, and on, their bodies. When they returned to the United States for treatment, they spent a lot of time looking for natural products without plastic packaging. They didn’t find a lot.

They started this company to give people body care products that wouldn’t hurt themselves, or the planet.
